Army donates books to primary schools in Nasarawa – The Sun Nigeria

The four Doma Special Forces Command, Nasarawa State donated 4,402 textbooks to 2,490 students in the Doma Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

Special Forces Commander, Brig. General Louis Lepdung, who made the donation, said the gesture was in commemoration of the celebration of Nigerian Army Day in 2022.

He said the books were donated in the name of Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Faruk Yahaya and were part of sensitizing the army to develop the younger generation to realize their potential and achieve their dreams.

He said beneficiaries were drowned from Doma Central Science Pilot Primary School, Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) Primary School and Local Government Education Authority Primary School ( LGEA).

The commander said the military will continue to intervene in different sectors of human life to show Nigerians that they care about their welfare.

Lepdung also promised to do everything possible to fight against criminal elements in the region and the state.

Doma LGA Chairman Ahmed Usman-Sarki expressed his gratitude to the 4 Space Forces for contribute to the academic development of their students.

The LGA boss said that since the inception of the army formation in the area, his officers have helped reduce armed robbery along the Doma/Lafia road.

Director, Tina Attah-Garba and Director, RCM Doma thanked the army for this gesture and called on other agencies to invest in strengthening the state education sector.
