Delta Electronics India Inaugurated Cutting-Edge Technology in Medium Voltage Power Quality Restoration

bangalore – Delta India inaugurated the Medium Voltage Power Quality Restorer in the presence of all Delta dignitaries. During this special event, the entire RnD team and management were present and were deeply delighted to attend the inauguration.

The product is a 11kV 3 ϕ Power Quality Restorer. Designed and developed keeping in mind industrial loads and Indian grid code requirements. It is an essential solution to the plethora of power quality problems.

India’s electricity demand is expected to double in this decade, largely fueled by rapid growth. To meet the demand, the addition of more renewable energy resources like wind and solar is planned by the Indian government. Rising industrial loads and the huge integration of renewables are leading to power quality issues such as voltage fluctuations, flickering and equipment failure. To control power quality issues, India’s CEA (Chief Electric Authority) has issued “Technical Standards for Connectivity Regulation”, to limit harmonics within the prescribed limit. The Medium Voltage Power Quality Restorer (PQR) efficiently solves power quality problems with higher efficiency.

Following the success of the 25kV railway PQR, the 11kV 3ϕ PQR is the new flagship product in Delta’s Medium Voltage PQR portfolio. The launched product is the solution to various PQ problems with multiple benefits. It is capable of providing both leading and lagging reactive power as well as current harmonic compensation. Load imbalance correction and voltage regulation are the other key benefits. It significantly reduces the electricity bill, as it avoids power factor penalties and harmonic overloads. Additionally, the benefit of reduced MD and reduced copper losses ensures faster return on investment.

Moreover, we believe in the “Make in India” initiative. Complementing the “Make In India” program, Delta’s Power Quality Restorer product has been developed and will be manufactured in India according to the criteria of the “Make In India” initiative.
