Bayonetta fans can now rejoice as the ten-month hiatus is finally over. Without warning, Nintendo unexpectedly released the release date for Bayonetta 3. Along with the release, check out one of the different editions of Bayonetta 3.
A Trinity Masquerade Edition
The Trinity Masquerade Edition of Bayonetta 3 includes a 200-page full-color art book and displays the entire Bayonetta trilogy with three reversible game cases, one for each Bayonetta title. These three cases can be combined to form a panoramic work. No date was provided for pre-order availability. More details on the Trinity Masquerade Edition and pre-orders will be revealed later.

It’s been almost five years since the third installment in the Bayonetta series was first announced. In September 2021, Bayonetta emerged from hiding with a small in-game trailer. After that, the cycle repeated itself. Since then, the game has been nearly MIA from various video game showcases such as the Nintendo Direct.
Video game leaker Syluxhunter tweeted on July 12 that gamers can expect Bayonetta 3 news on July 13. Prior to that, they also said on June 25 that Bayonetta 3 would be released on October 28. They were right. Today, Nintendo gave a release date of October 28, 2022 for the installment. In former Twitter user Syluxhunter is used to being specific with other Nintendo leaks such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC and various Nintendo Direct schedules and information.

In this new trailer, Bayonetta can be seen with a new ability. This new ability is called Demon Masquerade. With this, Bayonetta can now channel her weapon-bound demon for “exciting action options” and “hair-raising combos.” Bayonetta can also summon demons for “new, larger-than-life battles” where players can directly control the action and flow of the battle. Not only will players play as Bayonetta, but players will also control the fiery witch-in-training Viola and her feline demon, Cheshire.
After that release date trailer, there was also the announcement of a physical launch of the original Bayonetta. Physical copies will arrive on September 30. Bayonetta 3 will launch for the Nintendo Switch on October 28.
