It’s no surprise that interior designer couple Jeremiah Brent and Nate Berkus have a stunning home library. In at Marie Claire last episode of Portrait Shelf (opens in a new tab)—in which celebrities, influencers and famous bookworms show off their personal libraries – Brent showed us around his and her husband’s impressive collection of books, housed in 30ft bookshelves in their chic West Village townhouse .
In the video, Brent admits it’s hard to narrow down his favorite books. if he had to choose, he would start with that of James Brown James Brown’s Handbook (opens in a new tab) because the author holds a special place in his heart. Brent also likes Axel Vervoordt The history of style (opens in a new tab)which highlights the aesthetic influences of Vervoordt.
Brent also adores David Douglas Duncan goodbye picasso (opens in a new tab) which features personal letters to and from the artist, as well as the alchemist (opens in a new tab). (Brent has read it five times and says the book helped him deal with his fears of coming out.) The interior designer also shared Peter Parnell and Justin Richardson’s book. And the tango makes three (opens in a new tab) who was instrumental in introducing the concept of surrogacy to her children.
