Kathleen (Kathy) A. Brown, 59, died Friday, April 15, 2022 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness. Born December 12, 1962 in Dover, NH, she was the daughter of Leon and Lois (Sunderland) Tanguay.
Kathy had lived in Barrington for most of her life and had previously been employed as a senior production and underwriting assistant for Liberty Mutual in Portstmouth, NH for 17 years, followed by several years as an administrative assistant at Profit Tools in Lee, NH. Kathy loved spending time with her family; including shopping with her mother, sharing stories over drinks on her terrace with her daughters, going to the movies and making homemade pizzas with her grandchildren, and going out to see friends with her husband . She loved the summer weather and searching for seashells on the beach, as she recently did on a trip to Florida with her husband earlier this year. Kathy loved rock and roll, especially 80’s rock, her favorite bands being Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC. She also had a love for horror movies and books, especially anything written by Stephen King. She enjoyed hosting family and friends for get-togethers and was well known for her annual Memorial Day parties. Kathy’s infectious smile would light up a room, she made friends wherever she went and she always had stories that made her family and friends laugh.
She is survived by her husband Roger Brown of Barrington; children, Michelle A. Aiken of Barrington and Melissa A. Aiken of Barrington; mother, Lois Tanguay of Barrington; and three grandchildren Zachary, Matthew and Lily. She was predeceased by her father, Léon Tanguay.
Calling hours will be Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH, 03820. Friends and family are encouraged to dress casually, as that is what Kathy would like. Feel free to wear your favorite tie-dye or band/concert t-shirt.
