OneSearch, the new library search tool, was launched on July 6. Library staff have created a series of instructional videos to help familiarize users with the new tool and all of its enhanced features. It is recommended that the campus community start with the video Introducing OneSearch before moving on to more specific tutorials.

“University libraries have completed implementation of a new library management system and accompanying search tool, OneSearch,” said Jason Battles, Dean of Libraries. “More of our resources are now accessible in one place. We hope our instructional clips will quickly get you started taking advantage of the new features OneSearch provides.”

With OneSearchusers can now:

  • Login with uark.edu accounts. Those who are already signed in to other campus services, such as Blackboard or Office 365 Online, will also be signed in to OneSearch.

  • Find books, journal articles, media, dissertations, manuscripts and digital collections in a single search.

  • Easily save, export, email or quote results in a variety of citation styles.

  • Locate multiple versions and editions of the same work.

  • Save favorite items and searches, organize favorites into folders, and set up alerts for new materials that match users’ search interests.

  • Personalize OneSearch by focusing results on preferred domains.

A FAQs was also created by library staff to help users explore OneSearch. Do you have additional questions? Ask us!
