Susan R. Wente will be inaugurated as the 14th President of Wake Forest University in 3 p.m. on Friday, March 25.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at Wait Chapel on the Wake Forest campus. The official installation ceremony will include university administrators, delegates from higher education institutions, government officials, alumni, faculty, staff, students and other guests. Wake Forest faculty and guest delegates will enter the chapel dressed in academic regalia. Wente will deliver a keynote address after formal greetings from speakers including Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines and Winston-Salem State University Chancellor Elwood L. Robinson.
Media planning to attend the March 25 ceremony are expected to arrive no later than 2 p.m. The event is do not Open to the public.
Car park
Parking will be reserved for the media in parking lot P, adjacent to the Wait Chapel. To see the campus map.
Media identifiers
Retrieve Media Credentials between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in front of the College Bookstore (located to the left of the main entrance to the Wait Chapel).
Seats
Seats will be reserved for the media in the first row of the balcony on the left side of the Wait Chapel. Cameras can be installed in the staircase landings on the left side of the chapel near the reserved seating area.
