Hi friends! Do you remember the cuphead? GamesBeat does. Studio MDHR, publisher Iam8bit, and Skybound Games have a huge new trailer detailing both versions of this notoriously difficult platformer. Both are coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
The exclusive collector’s edition is available for pre-order on Iam8bits. The retail version will launch on December 6, while the Collectors Edition will be released a little later.
A physical edition of Cuphead is something we’ve been excited about for a very long time, Studio MDHR Maja Moldenhauer said in a statement to GamesBeat. Much of the nostalgia that has fueled Cuphead’s design is based on the wonderful tactile experience of pulling those like you off the shelf, opening the case, and diving into the new challenge or grand adventure. There’s nothing quite like it, and we’ve been amazed by the team at iam8bit and Skybound for helping us get Cuphead into the hands of gamers with the same meticulous care and craftsmanship that underpins our design and game craftsmanship. In a year with all the excitement of this season, I couldn’t imagine a better way to do that than with this release.
Retail Cuphead is included in The Delicious Last Course DLC, which includes the base game. It comes with six collectible Cuphead funnies tickets, a membership card, and beautiful interior artwork.
The Collector’s Edition gets wilder. All of the retail version items are included, but the extras are worth it. It comes with an old handmade opera puppet, a reintroduced music box, a unique O sleeve and a map showing the Inkwellia Islands.
The box shows the security curtain in the asbestos game, it can also be transformed into a puppet.
And that’s not all.
Cuphead fans can also pre-order a new 2xLP double vinyl featuring the old Delicious Last Course tunes. The vinyl has a special Shawn Dickinson foldout poster. It also contains three recipes from MDHR members.
The original vinyl, called Cuphead, is reprinted again.
I just spat here, but this puppet seems ideal for recreating iconic Cuphead moments. This box probably looks like a pillar when closed. I think we all see that it’s possible to be good at bringing a joke back to life.
