Editions Theoremexperimental design company created by David Giroire and Jérôme Bazzocchi, releases its second collection of objects and furniture. Theorem Editions Collection 02 consists of ten objects, each a collaboration between the visions of contemporary French designers and the know-how of European artisans. Each piece in the collection is numbered, some being in limited edition. When you combine imagination and know-how, surface and object, furniture and sculpture, the result is bound to be exceptional.
The modern aluminum pendant luminaire from SCMP Design Office is reminiscent of American minimalism which was the result of Bauhaus influence.
The Fibonacci table by Adrien Messié uses a combination of contrasting materials and textures. The top, in white lacquered wood, and the base in matte green ceramic are a practice of opposites.
The link vase, designed by Service Généraux, is made of matte 3D printed ceramic. Featuring a bold black shape, the smallest piece in the collection holds its weight against the others.
Exercice Studio’s aluminum chair and Victoria Wilmotte’s folded console, made with Atelier François Pouenat, come from an era of industrial machinery, mass production and technical reproduction.
Modern surrealism and fluidity are found in Achille. Designed by the POOL duo, the tweed armchair flows gently over a lacquered metal cube.
Meanwhile, the Hall House coffee table features a glass top floating on knotted wooden ropes. It is almost reminiscent of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s masterpiece, Theoremfrom which the design company takes its name.
This large lacquered fiberglass vase was created using centuries-old 3D scanning and sculpting techniques. You can see how designer Matteo Garcia evokes Yves Tanguy and the surrealists in his form.
Wendy Andreu’s free-standing mirror is an aluminum monolith, creating playful reflections through mirror slats and one-way glass.
