MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Alabama resident Tejuania Nelson is not just an author, she is also a successful wife, mother, grandmother, and education director of several successful businesses. She was also a 2021 40 out of 40 recipient. She spends time coaching and teaching leadership skills and strategies to women. Her nurturing and caring nature can easily be seen in her heart to help people. Tejuania has a very adaptive nature. She is able to handle various situations, circumstances and affairs with ease, grace and dignity, which has helped her develop a corporate image that is revered by her peers and the community.
She wrote a children’s book “Born To Love” which took off in many ways. She teamed up with Ukrainian illustrator Kabelkova Margarita Mikhailovna and started the “Born to Love” project in her hometown, in the midst of the Russian-Ukrainian war. As hostilities escalated, her hometown came under a deadly and devastating attack, which forced her to flee in a hurry with the clothes on her back, a small amount of food and her computer. Traveling sixteen hours to seek safety, his creative spirit did not falter. Despite her feelings of fear, loss, and bewilderment, she filled the book with illustrations that depict love, acceptance, and hope for the future.
