‘LIGHTS AT NIGHT’: Patricia Allingham Carlson’s painting has been chosen as the featured image for this year’s Phillips’ Mill Juried Art Show. The work represents the festivities of the opening night of the Moulin for patrons and artists. The show opens on Saturday September 24 and will run until Sunday October 20.
The 93rd juried art exhibition at Phillips’ Mill in New Hope, Pennsylvania opens this Saturday, September 24 and runs through Sunday, October 30. The gallery is open daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Dedicated to the artistic spirit of Bucks County and surrounding areas, the show features more than 100 framed pieces and sculptures, including works by 2022 Honored Artist Luiz Vilela and the show’s iconic image, lights at night by Patricia Allingham-Carlson. An abundance of unframed portfolio pieces in a wide range of media complete the show providing art lovers and collectors with a full afternoon of browsing. All works are on sale at the Moulin and online.
A Meet the Artists program is available on the mill’s website at phillipsmill.org. The artists will be present at Le Moulin throughout the fair to meet and welcome visitors, discuss their work and share their love of the arts.
Phillips’ Mill is an historic 18th century grain mill located on River Road just north of New Hope. For nearly a century, it served as the setting for this historic artistic event instituted by the group of artists who became known as the New Hope School and formed the Phillips’ Mill Community Association in 1929.
