Editor’s note: Ainsley Earhardt, Fox News anchor and New York Times bestselling author, has just released a heartfelt children’s book inspired by her daughter Hayden, “I’m So Glad You Were Born: Let’s Celebrate Who You Are(Zonderkidz, September 27, 2022). Featuring beautiful illustrations by illustrator Kim Barnes, it infuses a playful scripture-inspired message that every child is special and deserves to be celebrated.
I have written several children’s books, but this one is close to my heart because the inspirations are more personal.
My mother always told us on our birthdays every year how happy she was that we were born – and now I like to say that to my daughter, Hayden. It was part of my inspiration to write a book celebrating all the reasons we are so happy our children were born and how special they are. It reminds children that they have a purpose, that there is a plan for their life, that God loves them and that they deserve to have a wonderful life.
AINSLEY EARHARDT PROCLAIMS SHE IS SHRILLED THAT YOU WERE BORN
I wanted this book to encourage all of us to notice the traits that make a child special and to help parents, grandparents and caregivers slow down and take the time to tell the children in their lives how grateful and grateful they are. grateful for all the special things that make a child who they are and try to make every day a celebration; shower children with love and affection, and not just on their birthday.
In our home, my daughter Hayden and I have always had weekly dance parties in our kitchen—throughout the many stages of her life—we put on our favorite pajamas, listen to our favorite songs, and pull out the big Tupperware in the kitchen. with musical instruments and dancing and singing together. Life should be joyful and light, which is why these dance parties and celebrations also inspired the book.

Kathy Doocy, wife of my “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy, also inspired me. Whenever there’s a birthday for someone on the “Fox & Friends” set, I like to say, “I’m so glad you were born.”
After saying that, the crew still burst out laughing because it was a phrase they had never heard before.
Once my co-host Steve Doocy was told by his wife Kathy that I should write a children’s book about why I was so glad every human being was born.
Although it’s labeled as a children’s book, it really is a book for all ages. Each of us, from the day we were born, deserves to be celebrated in the grandest and most spectacular way.
